Submission Guidelines

Thank you for considering Maven Literary Management for your submission. We respect the work and dedication it’s taken to prepare your query and send it to us. We read every submission sent to our offices, and by following the guidelines below, you will help us review your work faster. As you query, please do remember this is a subjective process.

What should you include in your submission?

Please follow the guidelines so we can consider your work and respond to you within eight weeks from submission.

We encourage every writer to submit to multiple agencies. 

We do not accept postal submissions, and we do not consider scripts or screenplays.

For information on how Maven Literary Management handles personal data, please carefully read our Privacy Policy.

    • Your name and title of your manuscript in the subject line.

    • A cover letter in the body of your email.

    • A one-page synopsis and first three chapters (approx. 10,000), preferably in Word but we also accept PDFs.

    • The m/s should be 12 point font and double-spaced.

    • If you receive a full manuscript request or an offer of representation, please do email us with subject lines: ‘Offer of Representation’ or ‘Full Manuscript Request’.

  • Please only submit when you have a full manuscript.

  • Please include a covering letter ideally no longer than a page, a full outline setting out the aims of each chapter, and if possible, a sample chapter.
